I really do take a minute or two every day to revel in my luck. I am thankful for the things that I have. I am thankful for this life that I am living.
1. I am thankful that my daughter is just like me. I know we're going to have a rough decade through puberty BUT I understand her. I feel her frustrations. I know what she needs- even if its just time to be pissed.
2. I am thankful my anti-princess tactics (read more here) are at least sort of, kind of working. Yesterday she was playing at the indoor park and two older girls came in.
Eva: "Hi! I'm Eva".
Girls: "Oh, you're so cute. Do you want to play with us?"
Eva: "Yeah!"
Girls: "Ok, we can play princess. You can be the princess..."
Eva: "No, I am not a princess. I'm a pirate!"
3. I am thankful I am growing into a beluga whale. It means my sweet baby boy is growing.... I am thankful I am growing into a beluga whale. It means my sweet baby boy is growing... I am thankful I am growing into a beluga whale. It means my sweet baby boy is growing.... (this one takes a little work to talk myself into)

You're daughter it cute! I think mine might turn out like that too. She is WAY more into the trains and cars her brother plays with than any girl toy. :) I'm glad to her your little boy is growing! That is great news!!!!!
