Its not your fault but I hate you

11.30.2012

As my sister calls it "one of nature's cruelest ironies" is pregnancy induced insomnia.  Night after night,  I wake up sometime between 2 and 3 am and stay awake for an ungodly amount of time just tossing and turning.  I almost always get caught spending this time thinking about things that I don't want to think about and actively avoid dealing with during the light of day

Well, last night was different.  Last night I had a vivid dream that I was catching up with an old friend who now lives in London and she told me something about my husband that really pissed me off.  I can't recount all of the sordid details because, honestly, some of you might be embarrassed reading it so let's just say, he didn't behave himself.

So after I have this dream, I am then cursed with pregnancy insomnia so I then lay there for the next couple hours silently hating him.  As he lay there next to me, sleeping peacefully, and breathing deeply, I am shooting daggers out my eyeballs in his direction and breathing anger like fire out of my nose.  Like any mature mother of two, I am fantasizing about pushing him off the bed and ripping the pillow out from under his peaceful, sleeping face.

Now the sun has risen, my sweet Eva is up and at it, my latte is warming my pregnant belly and... I'M STILL PISSED.  It's so unfair, obviously, since he didn't do anything wrong and it was all just a figment of my imagination but I can't help it.  He was a jerk (in my dream) and I am not over it.

We all do it... Umm, you do it too, right?!  Tell me, I'm not the only one who hates my husband because of his bad behavior in my dreams?  When was the last time you irrationally hated your husband in the early hours of the day for the crimes he committed during your slumber?

  2. Dreams can conjure up so many emotions in us and they aren't even real! Happens to me all the time! It's really a crazy phenomenon! You aren't alone :)

  3. My sister is narcoleptic and will try to have conversations in her sleep. Or she will just yell really loudly in the middle of the night--its crazy!

I was having weird dreams too but then i started taking melatonin! Try it!

Also, don't forget to enter the giveaway happening on Cotton's Pickins right now! :)

  4. The happened to me a few months ago. I was so angry when I woke up and I demanded my husband's phone so I could find the evidence he cheated on me (like he did in my dream). So he hands me the phone and I'm about to go through it when I realize what it is going on, slowly hand him back the phone and tell him we can pretend this never happened. It was pretty funny.
I hope the insomnia goes away! That sounds like zero fun whatsoever.

  5. I'm not pregnant but I totally woke up pissed at my hubby due to my dream last night as well. It was so real and I was telling him about it and he told me I was making it all up and my response was, "Well then I need to write books because I'm a great storyteller."

  6. I've been mad at my bf because of a dream before.

Once when I went to kiss him goodbye in the morning and he gave me the look of EVIL! Apparently, in his dream he had just walked in on me with some other guy! Luckily, he quickly composed himself and said, yeah I know it wasn't you.

    STUPID CRAZY DREAMS

  8. Anytime my Husband and I go to bed 'upset' or at odds with each other...I ALWAYS have a dream where he's leaving me, or he's cheating on me, or he's doing something terrible to me. And every time, I wake up mad at him!

  9. Oh my goodness! I totally do this too! I'll get confused sometimes and think, did that happen or was it fake? It's so weird!!!

  10. In my dreams my normally sweet husband is such an a**hole. I wake up all the time mad at him for crap he did in my dreams. lol.

This happens more when I'm not pregnant my pregnant dreams are about birthing a grown man or my baby falling out of my vagina *shudders*

  11. Ok so I'm not pregnant but I had 2 similar dreams the other night about my husband that have stuck with me. I'm still pissed. We actually got into an agruement about it and I slept in the spare room last night. Funny thing is I had a really great night sleep yesterday! Ugh! Can't win

  13. LOL ive had dreams where someone did something and I wake up the next day and feel awkward around that person! It's kind of a unconscious thing - like did they REALLY do something and they aren't telling you?

  14. LOL, this is so funny! Here's hoping he makes up for it in your next dream.

  15. Oh I've done it. My husband talks in his sleep sometimes too and I've been pissed at him for what he has said and of course "doesn't remember what was said". :)
I totally understand the pregnancy insomia. My last time around was during a deployment and those thoughts were horrible at 2 and 3am.
Hopefully the day will turn around for you. :)

  16. I probably would have shoved him out of the bed just to make myself feel better. But I'm not married, so I can't promise that wouldn't have a negative impact on your marriage. haha. I always wake up believing my dreams are real!

  17. I've definitely experienced the very same thing!

  18. Not pregnant but have had some dreams where I want to beat the crap out of my husband the next day lol.

  19. I can completely relate to this. I have definitely had those dreams before where I feel like stabbing my husband or shooting him with the 9mm safely tucked in my bedside table.

Just smack him once, tell him he better not be a douche and that you love him!
    That's how I handle it :)

  20. I've been mad at my husband for already being asleep at night when there was something I OBVIOUSLY wanted to talk about (that I could have easily talked about earlier). And the poor guy wakes up at 4:30am. I'm ridiculous. :)

  21. I mostly get annoyed when my husband snores and wakes me up. Grr.

  22. This was me three nights ago. I was being so mean to J one morning and he finally asked what he had done and I said, "You cheated on me!" In my dream...but still...it counts. Jerk.

  23. Oh I HATE that kind of stuff, it totally throws you off.

  24. This has happend very recently for me! By the time I woke up he was already gone to work. So it stayed with me until he got home & then some. It is silly to allow our subconcious mind to take over this way. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this. LOL. <3, Amy

  25. Pregnancy insomnia is slowly driving me insane. I too have dreams that make me mad, but if I tell Chad about them it helps lessen their impact on my mood. I am quite jealous of his ablity to sleep through my tossing, turning, and moping at 2am.

  26. Oh man, I'm not even pregnant and this sometimes happens to me! We get so caught up in that emotion!

:) Hope you forgive him soon. :)

  27. HA! So I haven't dealt with the pregnant side of this, but I've definitely had dreams where I wake up pissed/sad/whatever and carry it with me all day long. My husband cheated on me once in a dream so I woke up crying and he spent the entire day making something up to me that he never actually did. And then there was the time I had sex in a dream with one of my classmates and couldn't help but feel awkward with him, I mean, it had to be awkward for him too... right?

    Weird. Life is weird.

    Love you!

  28. It hasn't happened to me in awhile, but I've had at least 4 detailed dreams of my husband cheating on me throughout our relationship/marriage. I warned him every time it happened so he knew why I was in a bad mood for the day. He tried to make me laugh and gives me extra hugs and kisses to make up for his dream cheating, but he knows he just has to wait it out until I get over my angry feelings.

  31. rumor has it - i talk in my sleep. and when i have those types of dreams i start talking to my husband. yeah. poor guy. but hey - we have all been there with those dreams. i am sure your husband would laugh if he knew why you were irked!

  32. I've never had dreams like this until I got pregnant. I swear I have them like once a month now. They're so vivid and feel sooo real. He's such a sweet man and it's not anything that he would even possibly do, so why I have them, no idea! I did read something that said during pregnancy you have them because you feel unattractive- although, I feel exceptionally beautiful and feminine, an my husband constantly tells me how attracted he is to me. So who knows: )

Good luck on not wanting to push him down the stairs: )

  33. Bwahahaha! I once had a dream that my boss pinched my stomach and told me I was gaining weight. It was hard to be professional with him the next day! I told him about it and we had a good laugh - he's been married for 40 years, and he's used to his wife getting mad at him for what he does in her dreams. His nickname for me after that was "Skinny."

  34. Oh girl! I have been there! Well, it hasn't happened with my husband yet, but I have definitely had dreams where someone I knew did/said something cruel and I would be so upset with them even once I realized it had just been a dream, haha!

  39. I admit i was skeptical about magic spells, for me it was just a movie thing though I was ready to try anything to get my husband back, which I did with this spell Esango priest have cast for me.I think I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't this spell caster. The other casters I contacted seemed to care only for money and nothing else, but I've appreciated the fact that Esango priest seemed much caring about my problem than all of them. magic water I was hurt and depressed when my lover of five years left me for another woman. One friend suggested the idea to contact a spell caster, which I would have never thought of myself. I contacted a few of them but Esango priest was the person I felt good with. he was understanding, replied all my emails promptly and patiently. Then I decided to place an order for his spell even if at that time I was still a bit skeptical about his capacity to bring my man back with me. Only 1 week after the spell was actually cast, he returned to me and since then, it seems that there is no more mistrust and no more lies between us. For that reason, I am gladly leaving a testimonial on this page, which I believe will help persons to choose Esango priest for their case his email is esangopriest@hotmail.com

  41. "I wanted to thank you getyourexbacksolutionspell@gmail.com for helping me. After years of trying to conceive and a failed IVF and a failed FET, I ordered your Pregnancy Miracle. According to my infertility doctor it was "very unlikely" that I could be pregnant with my own eggs. But here I am, pregnant for the first time in life. I got pregnant naturally just 2 months after my failed FET and after following your plan Mama Alisha Lura. I am now 7 month pregnant (see photo attached). I am spreading this miracle story to whomever I meet and who suffers from infertility.email her for help today on getyourexbacksolutionspell@gmail.com or visit her website on http://weeblyalishaluraspell.weebly.com/available-spells.html
