It is no secret that I am a TV junkie. I NEED the television on at all times. I need the background noise. I set the bar pretty low as far as tv shows go. I like pretty much all trash tv. The Real Housewives of (name that town) are my favorites followed closely by all of the other girl reality shows (Teen Mom, Shahs of Sunset, the rest of Bravo), Intervention, and all of the "how to kill your husband" shows.
There are a couple shows on tv right now, though, that are horrible, terrible bits of entertainment trash.
1.
TLC's "The Sisterhood"- this show follows "first ladies" ie pastors wives. These broads bicker and fight like all the rest of the trash reality shows that I love but it grosses me out that the basis of the show is that they are pastors wives and then they act crazy, bitter, gossipy, and jealous. I am not religious but it shows them in a bad light. Yuck.

Tru tv's "Guiness Records Gone Wild"- Most of the records are stupid and don't deserve to get broken or get any attention at all. Seriously, I could not care any less about whether or not someone can put 150 clothes pins on their face. Seriously. However, this lady crushes cans with her size H tattas. Clearly that is worth watching.
I couldn't find a screen shot of the lady on the show so instead here is Ms. Annie Hawkins Turner, current "Largest Natural Breasts in the world" record holder.
3.
"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"- Don't hate me, I know it's popular, but I despise this show. It is not my kind of humor. I think it's stupid.
4. Bravo's
"Vanderpump Rules"- It is a shame that this show sucks so hard because I LOVE Lisa. She is one of my all time favorite housewives. I hate that they made her show so fake and cheesy. It actually made me sad when I saw the first couple episodes because the level of fakeness makes me start to question the rest of the Bravo shows that I love so very much.

ReplyDeleteI watch Vanderplump Rules and its terrible BUT I love me some JAX and Tom! YUM! I'm a tv junkie too! My husband hates it. I watch all the crap. I just started watching Starter Wives. Mob Wives is pretty great too!

ReplyDeleteI am so with you on that one! My auntie is a pastor wife and she is so NOT like that but she has experienced some pastor wives who unfortunately are like that. And one of my friends is a Pastor's wife and she is SO not like that. Anyways, I would hate the show also. So sad. But like it is with "reality" t.v. shows they tend toward the extreme at times.

ReplyDeleteVANDERPUMP RULES? Please, I'm begging you, try again. It is so good. SO GOOD. But I agree about all the others. Especially it's always sunny. People think I'm like a satanist when I say I don't like that show. It probably has something to do with the first time I saw it they were making some crude rape jokes. And it made me want to punch people.
Anyways, please, love of my life, try Vanderpump again.

ReplyDeleteYou've got a lot of guts saying you don't like "It's Always Sunny".... no but seriously it's insanely annoying. I'm so glad I'm not alone! It made me feel so much better after the wave of nausea I felt from the ginormous boobs photo.

And every time they say something like "It's like that episode of it's Always Sunny, you know where so-and-so do such-and-such. You remember? It was so funny. You know the one I'm talking about?"

ReplyDeletei have never heard of that Guinness show! crazy! i'm a tv junkie as well. if we were super poor i would still keep tv because it is my lifeline. (sad huh?) however i'm not a fan of the reality shows. i watch a lot of old shows and reruns but i love intervention! have you watched that?
