I'm admitted into the hospital for pre-term labor. My sweet baby boy is currently 31 weeks 5 days. I arrived last night with contractions and after being checked, the found that I'm 3cm dilated and went from 70-80% effaced in about an hour. His head was starting to bulge.
They started me on zombie/ nauseous inducing amounts of magnesium and Indocin to stop contractions, steroids for baby's lung development, and lots of antibiotics.
Contractions went from REAL LABOR contractions to baby tightening to nonexistent this morning. As of this moment, I'm not contracting.
We will see what happens when they stop the anti-contraction meds today or tomorrow. Both have a very short timeline of use before toxicity sets in.
Our immediate goal is to keep him cooking for 48 hours for the steroids to take effect. After that, making it to 34 weeks would really be ideal.
Please send me some positive thoughts.
Xoxo
