Currently I am

Currently I am ...

Still pregnant!  My Baby Nathaniel hit 34 weeks yesterday, which is another huge milestone.  We had a specialist appointment and he is a hefty 4 pounds 12 ounces (approximately).

Feeling: Relieved we made it this far.  Bored being stuck at home.  Anxious about when he's coming.

Eating: A lot.  Real life (ie, watching what I shove in my mouth) is coming quickly so I am taking full advantage of being able to gorge myself on junk food for the final couple days.  The doctors didn't give me any hope of making it this long, so pigging out on candy for a few days seemed like a really good idea.  If I stay pregnant for another couple weeks, I might come to regret this decision.

Watching: I never thought I would say this.  Seriously.  Here we go... I am bored of TV.  I am over it.  It all sucks.  I have been watching mostly murder mysteries.  I don't know why.  Some of them are so depressing but at least it's a change from all of the other trash reality TV that I usually watch.

Reading: Nothing.  Nada.  I read a couple books in the hospital and thought I would keep reading here at home on bedrest but nope.  I don't know when people who have kids find the time to read.

Looking forward to: Being pregnant another week.  35 weeks is usually the beginning of healthy preemie baby lungs.  There is a chance that at 35 weeks, baby will be able to come straight home with us without spending time in the NICU.  I can't believe we have made it this far.

  4. Glad to hear things are still going well and for the update of that. I think about you often and wonder how things are. I'm sure you are bored. I had surgery a few years ago and was out for like a week on bed rest, and I was ready to be done with that after a few days.

  16. Still sending prayers. You are almost there keep thinking positive.

On another note... I love the murder mystery shows. I am a true crime buff though. It baffles me every time I read or watch a true crime story how sick people really are. I shouldn't be surpried but I always am.

  18. You are so funny, I could hardly eat anything the last few weeks of my pregnancy, and now that my baby is here I am eating like I am Miss Piggy. "Real life" can start when I am done breastfeeding.

  20. Oh Jamie I am so glad to read this!! Every day that little mite is in there is another blessing!! And just as a postive note--my cousin just gave birth to her little girl early due to preeclampsia and she weighed exactly 4lbs 10oz and got to go home in 2 days! You've made it, girlfriend! Good luck with the rest of the journey!

  28. Congrats on making 34 weeks! That's exactly when I gave birth to a healthy 4 lb 3 oz baby girl -- 22 years ago.
She stayed in the hospital a week to gain weight, but otherwise was perfect. I hope you find encouragement in my story. Bless you and yours!

  29. Yea for making it this far!!!! If you have netflix you should start watching Once Upon a Time. It's a great show, but one that you have to watch from the beginning. Just a suggestion. :)
Glad you and baby are doing good. :)
I gave birth to my son at 35 weeks and he only stayed in the hospital one extra day and came home with us. :) Good Luck!

  31. I remember those bed rest days. No fun, and you're right, TV gets boring!!!
My first was born at 35.5 weeks, just a few days after they released me from bed rest. We stayed an extra day in the hospital, but he got to come home with us.
Praying for that he stays put a bit longer!
