The weekend happened

12.30.2013

It is Monday again.  We are still in "holiday mode" over here...  It's 8:30am and B is still in bed, which never happens during the regular year.  He finally caught our nasty bugs and feels like I did last week- death.  He has to go in to work today so hopefully he doesn't infect the rest of his office.

Saturday I took the kids to a kids gym for a birthday party.  Both kids had a blast.  Eva climbed and jumped, bounced and swung around.  Nate crawled and climbed and flashed his big smile for all of the other patrons.  As usual, his big cheesey smile stole every ones heart.
Then a couple hours later on Saturday night, we ordered the UFC fight, had some friends over, cooked some food to share, and mixed a few cocktails.  OK, I am just going to say it.  I don't like watching the girls fight.  I am 100% on "Team Girl" but I do not need to see girls smashing each other's faces in.

We have no plans for New Years.  When I say "no plans" I mean that in the most literal of terms.  None.  New Year night this year is looking like it is going to be an early night in bed with a miserably sick husband and kids who go to bed at 7:30pm.  This is the yang to the yin, though, in my opinion.  I have the pleasure of being spoiled rotten by the opportunity to raise these little babies.  I am grateful for the opportunity.  New Years night is one of the times that these kids are putting a kink in my Momma game.  But that is ok.  I will take this yang and enjoy it at home with my babies.

  1. I JUST asked my boyfriend if we were losers for having no plans on New Year's Eve. My friend just invited us to her house and I said we were staying home. Ah well… oldies!

  3. I'm not a fan of girls fighting either, so not my thing.

I say it every time, but your kids are so precious.

No sweat about not having New Years plans...TOTALLY overrated ;)

  4. What little cuties! Hope your husband gets better soon, I know how that can spread. I am kinda liking not having plans either for New Years. I really don't want to fight the crowds. I will be having some bubbly though to ring in the new year.

  6. I actually prefer staying in on New Years. It never lives up to the hype anyway. This year I might ring in the new year with London so I can go to bed early lol ;)
