Auntie x 6

1.09.2014

I was going to blog this morning but then I got sucked into the time sucking, ego diminishing, black hole that  some people call Pinterest.  I pinned a bunch of easy recipes because I am a realist and if I am going to pretend like I am going to plan ahead of time for dinner, I should at least be honest with my abilities.
{trying this one tonight for the husband}

I am going to be an Auntie for the sixth time today.  One of my younger sisters is having her first baby, a little boy, this morning.  It makes me desperately sad to not be included in these life altering family moments but she has the support of my other sisters and I have to just suck it up.  This is military life.  I booked a trip to California next week to visit and meet her new angel baby and that just has to be good enough considering my current life circumstances.  My coffee is just a bit salty from tears, this morning.

We're going to put our tank top and shorts on today since Maryland is going to hit the 30's!  Wooey.  I am going to be sweaty.  Speaking of sweaty, it is going to be warm enough to take away my excuse for not visiting the gym.  It is warm enough that I can get the babies out and run through the parking lot without them turning into popsicles, BUT, remember how I said I was working towards a half marathon in the spring?  Well, I haven't been.  I am going to get back on the running bandwagon when I return from my California vacation.  Pinky promise.

Hope you're keeping up with your goals and resolutions on this ninth day of January!
