I need the little things

6.20.2014

With everything going on in life, it is important to remember the little things that make it all worth while...

It's the little things:  Summer evenings on the porch with my Little.  After cooling off in the pool, we cuddled on my swing while watching Eva and B splash around... This is what summer looks like to me.
***

It's the little things: A new pot of flowers.  My husband kindly pretends that he doesn't notice that every one that he brings home ends up in the trash can within a couple months.  He pretends he doesn't notice and just brings more home.
***

It's the little things: Practicing new hairstyles with Eva.  I am "hair challenged" but for her, I will learn.
***
It's the little things: Quiet mornings with the kids.  Being a stay at home Mom is hard but I wouldn't trade it for anything... OK, maybe like millions but no one is offering me millions to go back to work.
***

It's the little things: Family walks around the neighborhood during the "witching hour" at the end of the day.  That hour after dinner and before bed time is often one filled with whining and short fuses all around.  These family walks are good for all of us.

  9. It is important to remember the little things. I tend to forget those when I get overwhelmed. I love taking the kids for walks around the neighborhood. We did one last night and it was perfect, even though it was still hot outside.

  19. I agree, being a Stay at Home Mom is truly a blessing. While I sure could use extra cash, there just isn't enough in it for me to give up being home with my babes all the time!
