Things that make life worth while

6.06.2014

With everything going on in life, it is important to remember the little things that make it all worth while...
It's the little things: New life growing in my hanging flower pots.  We've carefully watched this little baby since his tiny Momma was building his perfect little nest and here he is- four days old and thriving.  New life.
***

It's the little things: A new pack of this summer staple.  Memories of these popsicles are woven through out my childhood and now I pass that to my babies.
***

It's the little things:  We are a barefoot family.  I know lot's of people think it's gross and I don't care.  We run around barefoot outside all summer.
***

It's the little things:  Evening walks through the neighborhood
***

It's the little things: Leftover birthday cake that is worth the calories
***

It's the little things: A reminder that my "big girl" isn't really that big and will always be my baby.  I expect so much of her behaviorally and academically.  Sometimes, I need to take a step back and remember that she is still little.

What "little things" are you thankful for today?

  8. Oh, yes, I've always said I get more excited about the little things than the big things. :) They're what make life extra beautiful. :)

  9. I'm always barefoot! I almost got the mail without shoes on but then I remembered we are on base and the mail box is across the street. Don't wanna be judged by all the judgey mcjudgers.

  10. That last one! Ugh! I do the same thing with Aubrey. She acts so much older than three and I often forget how little she really is!

  13. What a great list! I am totally a barefoot lady.. and so far Grace is too. She kicks shoes and socks off so quickly. My husband though? He's got baby feet. LOL.

  14. So cute! It's hard to remember our kids are still our babies some times, especially with the younger ones around. I have to remind myself sometimes that my son is still my baby and LOVE it when they fall asleep on me. It doesn't happen often anymore.
